SQAS/ESAD is not a certification but a voluntary system to evaluate processes in the company. ESAD (European Single Assessment Document) is a single standardised assessment carried out by independent assessors using a standard questionnaire. Logically, as ESAD does not lead to a certificate, it reaches much further than the law regulations.
ESAD builds upon the Responsible Care programme and contains numerous requirements that far exceed both the law regulations and the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
Bodo Möller Chemie was successfully assessed in November 2007 according to ESAD II.
